The export volume of fiberglass and products in May was 163300 tons, an increase of 2.87% month on month; The export amount was 243 million US dollars, a decrease of 6.78% month on month; The average export price was 1491 US dollars per ton, a decrease of 9.36% month on month.
Among them, the monthly export volume of fiber and chopped felt products, mechanical bonded fabrics, and fiberglass fabric impregnated products in May was 105600 tons, 40500 tons, and 17100 tons, respectively, accounting for 65%, 25%, and 10%, respectively.
Among the 34 specific tax items of products, the top three in May’s month on month increase in export volume were fiberglass roving mesh woven fabrics with a width of no more than 30 centimeters, chemically bonded fiberglass tight pads, and coated or laminated fiberglass yarn made tight plain woven fabrics with a width of more than 30 centimeters, with an increase of 370.1%, 109.6%, and 96.7%, respectively. The export volume was 52.8 tons, 145.3 tons, and 466.85 tons.
2. Import situation
From January to May 2023, the cumulative import volume of fiberglass and its products in China was 48400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%; The cumulative import amount was 302 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 23.7%; The average import price for the first five months was 6247 US dollars per ton, a year-on-year decrease of 16.7%.
The import volume of fiberglass and products in May was 9300 tons, a 22% increase compared to the previous month; The import amount was 67 million US dollars, a month on month increase of 6.6%; The average import price is 7193 US dollars per ton, a decrease of 12.58% month on month.
Among them, the import volume of three major categories of products, namely fiber and chopped felt products, mechanical bonded fabrics, and fiberglass fabric impregnated products, is 6200 tons, 1900 tons, and 12000 tons, accounting for 66%, 21%, and 13%, respectively.
Among the 34 specific taxable products, the largest import volume in May was glass fiber chopped strand, glass fiber roving with a length of no more than 50 mm, glass fiber chopped strand with a length of more than 50 mm, Glass wool and other Glass wool products, and glass fiber products not listed (70199099). The import volume was 2586 tons, 2202 tons, 1097 tons, 584 tons, and 584 tons respectively, accounting for 75.8% of the total import volume.
