On August 8, the “600000 tons / year high-performance glass fiber intelligent manufacturing production line project” of Taishan Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. introduced by Shanxi comprehensive reform demonstration zone was officially signed, marking the start of the construction of Taishan glass fiber comprehensive reform zone base project. The implementation of this project is of great significance to the high-quality promotion of the cluster development of the whole industrial chain of synthetic biology in Shanxi Province and the building of a leading high-performance fiber and composite industry highland in China.
The project of Taishan glass fiber comprehensive transformation zone base is planned to cover an area of 855 mu, with an investment of 7 billion yuan. It is planned to build four high-performance glass fiber intelligent manufacturing tank furnace wire drawing production lines with an annual output of 150000 tons by stages, mainly to carry out the production and manufacturing of various glass fiber products such as direct untwisted roving, ply yarn, short cut fiber, long cut fiber and needle felt, and the annual output value can reach 3.6 billion yuan.
As a light and high-strength material, glass fiber is widely used in downstream. Taishan glass fiber is the core subsidiary of Sinoma science and technology new material industry under the central enterprise China Building Materials Group. It is the world’s three largest and the second largest high-end glass fiber supplier in China. It is a national level manufacturing single champion demonstration enterprise with an annual production capacity of 1.25 million tons. The series of products are widely used in various fields of the national economy and exported to more than 70 countries and regions.
The comprehensive transformation zone base project is the largest planned base of Taishan glass fiber outside the headquarters. It will use a number of internationally advanced energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies and advanced intelligent equipment independently researched and developed to build an automatic and intelligent production line throughout the process, so as to achieve a higher level of production efficiency, energy conservation and environmental protection, and information management.
